If you haven’t heard yet, the former Bath House building on City Island was purchased and is now the Harrisburg Beach Club! The Bath House had been abandoned for over two decades and after extensive restorations, the new owners have transformed the building and “beach” area to a great family – friendly local destination. There is no fee to go to the Beach Club and parking is free on City Island. They offer light fare and feature weekly and weekend food truck line ups. This winter, they plan to offer fire pits and giant yard games along with a line up of musical entertainment on Friday’s and Saturdays! They are open Thursdays (until 7 p.m.) and through Sunday until 8 p.m.). If you’re looking for something to cheap and local to do, check this new spot out!
Check out Harrisburg’s Open Stage for a local production of A Christmas Carol with select dates from December 4th to the 23rd. Open Stage will surly take this traditional story and put their diverse, thought provoking spin- on it!
Don’t forget to check out the famous Christmas tree at our State’s Capitol building located in the Rotunda. The tree is an 18 foot tall Douglas Fir and features over 500 handmade ornaments from local seniors and preschoolers. It’s free to see and a local tradition everyone should check out!
